As a Fitness Instructor, you will be an integral part of a team which provides high quality services to our YMCA members.

Primary duties include:

• Guides beginning and experienced exercisers through the YMCA Fitness Program by providing personalized attention, support and motivation.
• Provides instruction on how to utilize all fitness equipment.
• Answers members' questions and/or concerns.
• Emphasizes safety and proper technique.
• Motivates members to commit to long-term participation.

We are looking for individuals who are enthusiastic, friendly, personable, energetic, and demonstrate personal integrity. Candidates must demonstrate exceptional customer service and professionalism, positive energy, a drive for results, attentiveness, healthy living, and team orientation. Certified instructor preferred, but will train qualified candidates. Must work effectively with people of different backgrounds, abilities, opinions, and perceptions. Fitness, athletics or sports training background preferred. Personal Training certification a plus.

Must be available for flexible schedules including weekends and holidays. Clear criminal record and drug test required.
