Rock Drill Equipment Operator - Aggregate Resource Industries

We are seeking Rock Drill Operators to join our team! This role is responsible for safely and efficiently operating hydraulic rock drills at quarries, mines, construction, and development projects throughout the United States. • We offer a generous and progressive pay scale. Pay for this position depends on experience. 
• Typical annual earnings: $70,000-$100,000 per year.

• Valid driver’s license with a driving record that includes no more than 3 moving violations and/or chargeable accidents in the last 3 years and no DUIIs.
• Travel away from home (typically 5 days/week) is a required part of this position. We provide transportation from our headquarters in Springfield and lodging accommodations near the worksite.
• We submit candidates to a background check through the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives to screen felony records as appropriate in compliance with federal government restrictions.
• We will administer a pre-employment drug test and physical. For safety reasons, we have a zero-tolerance drug policy, including marijuana use.
• Physical ability to lift 50 pounds and work on feet for long hours.

• Adaptable with the ability to adjust to changing circumstances and adjust to new tasks and environments.
• Motivated and results-oriented with the persistence to complete challenging projects on time and to a high standard.
• Ability to work well with both a team and independently when working in remote locations.
• Mechanically inclined with the ability to perform routine maintenance on drilling equipment.

• Safely and efficiently operates hydraulic drills on construction, rock quarry sites, mines, solar fields, development, and other specialty projects.
• Performs daily maintenance activities required for safe, efficient operation of assigned equipment.
• Completes necessary equipment pre-operation inspections, workplace examinations and paperwork per company policy.
• Understands different drill patterns and terminology then executes drill pattern and layout as established by Project Managers.
• Ensures drill hole quality after drilling each hole and at the completion of the project. 
• Continuously updates the Project Managers on the progress of project completion.
• Deploys automated drill log mobile application to execute the project’s drill pattern design and capture drill hole data.
• Occasionally assists with blasting operations.
• Performs general housekeeping duties to continuously maintain a safe, clean work environment.

• Views safety as paramount and continually works with team members to maintain a safe operation.
• Conducts daily safety inspections on equipment and worksites to identify and address potential hazards.
• Properly follows all company policies and OSHA / MSHA regulations to ensure a safe working environment.

• Company Truck 
• Company Paid Hotels When working on jobs requiring more than 1.5 hours one-way travel time, we arrange and pay 100 percent of hotel rooms.
• Paid Travel Time 
• Per diem $40.00 per day when staying at a company paid hotel.
• Company Phone We provide Operators with iPhones or a monthly cell phone allowance for phone calls, emails, text messaging and mobile time keeping.
• Fuel Card and Credit Card We provide Operators with fuel cards and credit cards for company expenses.
