Welcome to WET, the pioneering force behind groundbreaking fountain designs and engineering marvels worldwide, from the Fountains of Bellagio to the awe-inspiring Dubai Fountain (the world’s largest choreographed fountain), and hundreds more. WET harnesses the elements of nature – water, fire, ice, fog, and light – to evoke emotions, transcend the mundane, and captivate audiences across the globe.
If you are a visionary thinker, a creative problem-solver, and have a deep appreciation for the transformative power of water, we invite you to join us. Together, let's continue to push the boundaries of imagination, technology, and artistry crafting iconic masterpieces that merge engineering and beauty.
Robotic Controls Engineer, Panel Design Engineer
A skilled and detail-oriented engineer with a knowledge of electrical wiring, motor control, and best-practices for electrical panels and robotic equipment. A flexible individual who can work to industry standards, but can also work with the electrical engineering team to create unique, new devices that go beyond standard classifications. Able to work from complex P&ID specifications in some applications, but also the critical-thinking and self-motivation to work with minimal guidance on other projects.
Responsibilities:
Design and create drawings for electronics enclosures for robots, motor and motion control systems, control panels for equipment rooms, as a valued member of the electrical engineering team
Cross departments to work with the applications and facilities engineering team to determine service requirements, create single line drawings of electrical distribution, and collaborate on P&IDs
Assist the controls team in interconnecting the hardware and software for bringing the feature to life
Requires proficiency in the following areas:
AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, Altium, and/or SolidWorks
Creating accurate and detailed electrical schematic drawings of control panels, considering all necessary components and specifications for robotics and pump control systems
Able to think at a “system level” and understand (and optimize) how things work together
Electrical knowledge to accurately calculate system loads to determine fuse and wire sizing
Design and create drawings for wiring harnesses and cable assemblies, incorporating proper wire routing, connector selection, wire gauges, current handling, shielding, and labeling
General electrical knowledge of AC vs DC vs three-phase including power factor and efficiency
Ability to specify PLCs, power supplies, contactors/relays, VFDs, GFCIs, disconnects, servo drives, and E-stop systems and generate Bills of Materials for your designs
Familiarity with common industrial protocols like Modbus, RS-485, TCP/IP, and others
Knowledge of industry standards, electrical codes, contractor trade practices, methods and materials used in electrical installations including UL 508A, NFPA 70 (NEC) and ideally NEC 680
