SITE. FTE: 0.800000 Shift: Shift 1 *Monday - Friday with Tuesdays off
Job Summary: Accountable for the management and continuity of care of
patients with wound, ostomy and/or continence needs both within the
inpatient and outpatient environments. Provides direct patient care and
education by serving in the role as clinician, consultant, educator and
researcher in a level one trauma institution. Works in collaboration
with the RN Program Coordinator and Clinical Nurse Specialist to
coordinate and improve the WOC care within the Froedtert & The Medical
College of Wisconsin including development of policies and procedures,
guidelines, standards of care and research. Other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION: Recent and substantial experience as an expert
clinician and educator is required. Experience as a Certified Wound
Ostomy Nurse (CWON) is preferred. EDUCATION DESCRIPTION: Bachelors
Degree in Nursing is required. Masters Degree preferred. LICENSURE
DESCRIPTION: Current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or a
Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC (Nurse
Licensure Compact) is required. Certified Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse
or Certified Wound Ostomy Nurse certification is required within 12
months of hire or transfer into the position. American Heart Association
(AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) is required
within 90 days of hire. Certified Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse is
