Registered Nurse (RN) Manager
Job Summary: The Registered Nurse (RN) Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the nursing staff and patient care activities within the healthcare facility. This position involves managing the day-to-day operations, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures, and promoting a culture of excellence in patient care. The RN Manager collaborates with other healthcare professionals to maintain high standards of nursing care and works to create a positive and productive work environment for the nursing team.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Supervision:
- Provide leadership and supervision to nursing staff, including performance management, training, and development.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth.
Patient Care Coordination:
- Coordinate and oversee patient care activities to ensure the delivery of high-quality and patient-centered care.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop and implement care plans, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
Policy and Procedure Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to organizational policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with regulatory standards and requirements.
Quality Improvement:
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care processes and outcomes.
- Analyze data and implement strategies to improve nursing performance and patient satisfaction.
Education and Training:
- Facilitate ongoing education and training programs for nursing staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices, integrating them into nursing practice.
Qualifications:
- Current, unrestricted RN license in Wisconsin.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Previous nursing leadership or management experience.
- Strong knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and healthcare regulations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead and inspire a team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
Working Conditions:
- The position may require working weekends, holidays, and occasional extended hours.
- Exposure to infectious diseases and hazardous materials may occur.
