Job Summary and Qualifications
The Trauma Program Coordinator works with hospital and department leadership to assure optimal trauma patient care services. They ensure compliance with local, state, and national standards for Trauma Center designation. The Trauma Program Coordinator aims to achieve successful outcomes for all care and programs associated with the trauma program and serves as operational director for internal/external program initiatives.
What you will do in this role:
- Coordinate and evaluate Trauma Program activities.
- Monitors program outcomes and overall performance.
- Manage the trauma registry, including collecting data, coding, scoring, and developing processes for the validation of data.
- Partner with clinicians and patients related to trauma care through the continuum.
- Provide appropriate feedback based on data review and observation.
- Work with educators on developing patient teaching materials and staff training materials.
- Coordinate clinical education for hospital, EMS providers, and community.
- Participate in local and state trauma organizations.
What qualifications you will need:
- Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support required
- Registered Nurse, BSN or ADN required
- Missouri RN Licensure
- Advanced Trauma Care for Nurse, or Trauma Nursing Core Course must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date
- 3 years experience in ER or Critical Care required
