Duties:
- Provide direct patient care in hospitals.
- Assess patient conditions and develop appropriate care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes or abnormalities.
- Perform specialized procedures such as phlebotomy and tube feeding.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients and their families on health management and disease prevention.
- Maintain accurate medical records using electronic health record systems like Athenahealth.
- Adhere to infection control protocols to prevent the spread of diseases.
Requirements:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Experience in pediatrics, triage, acute care, or a related field is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in medication administration and dosage calculations.
- Ability to phlebotomize and perform laboratory tests accurately.
- Knowledge of alimentation techniques such as tube feeding.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy.
