About The Position
**Job Title:** Registered Nurse **Job Specialty:** General, Dialysis, Mental Health **Job Duration:** 26 Weeks **Shift:** Night, 10:15 PM - 6:15 AM with varying nights off **Guaranteed Hours:** Not specified **Experience:** Minimum years of experience not specified **License:** Registered Nurse (RN) **Certifications:** Not specified **Must-Have:** - Valid driver's license required at the time of reporting - No cell phones or smartwatches allowed in the work environment **Job Description:** - Provide professional nursing care to patients, including inmates and juvenile offenders. - Observe, assess, and record symptoms, reactions, and progress of patients. - Conduct nursing rounds and take vital signs. - Prepare and administer prescribed medications and ordered treatment plans. - Monitor patients in restraint and provide immediate medical attention in emergencies. - Schedule, assign, and review the work of lower-level staff as needed. - Participate in staff development and training of new employees. - Administer specialized procedures such as IV therapy, chemotherapy, wound care, oxygen therapy, dialysis, and more. - Organize and oversee emergency response teams. - Perform clerical tasks including charting, completing reports, ordering supplies, and maintaining inventory of controlled drugs and equipment. - Arrange outpatient clinic appointments and liaise with physicians as necessary. - Serve as an instructor or team leader on problem-solving groups. *Orientation is mandatory and scheduled on select weekdays, requiring presence from 8:30 am until approximately noon.*
