One of our client is seeking for an RN Patient Safety & Risk Manager
Type: Perm
Schedule: Days 8AM-4PM-can be flexible: 7:30AM -9AM (8 hours 5 days a week)
Location: New Jersey
Job Description:
The Patient Safety & Risk Manager is responsible for supervising Coordinator Risk Management and overseeing and facilitating clinical improvement initiatives and guiding the development, ongoing review and implementation of evidence-based improvement initiatives.
Oversees, facilitate and support multi-disciplinary teams to achieve clinical performance improvement goals and objectives.
Responsible for assisting with the coordination of the facility's patient safety, legal and risk management activities.
Talent Requirements:
Must have a Bachelors in Nursing (Magnet status)
CPHQ certification preferred or willing to obtain within the first year.
Must be well spoken.
Must have hospital experience.
Working knowledge of Patient Safety, Risk Management
Talent Characteristics wanted:
Looking for someone well-spoken and willing to learn and grow.
Need an understanding of what patient safety really is. A champion to oversee activity, see things from a patient's perspective.
Review incident reports.
Anything that is serious or needs to be escalated would have to reach out to leadership.
Root Cause Analysis/Deeper dives into incidents
Culture of safety survey
Will do new employee orientation once a month to do an overview on patient safety.
Risk Management side; this can be taught if someone is willing to learn. This is the legal interface part of the position.
Work with coordinator for lawsuits, work with hospital insurance company, case reviews with attorneys, settlement discussions, support staff in lawsuits.
