Qualifications and requirements

Applicants should have a current state RN license or a current multistate compact license and possess an associate or bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school.

One or more years of recent L & D, Postpartum & Newborn Nursery experience preferred.

Additional requirements include:

Certifications & Skills

• American Heart Association BLS Certification or obtained within 90 days after hire date
• Successful completion of Neonatal Resuscitation certification within 90 days after hire date
• Current S.T.A.B.L.E certification or obtained after 6 months of nursery experience but prior to completing 12 months of nursery experience
• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
• Language Skills:  Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing

Department/Unit Summary

Women's Services unit has:

• Six Labor and Delivery rooms 
• Two Surgery, recovery room rooms
• 18 bed unit Post Partum 
• Nursery
• Pediatrics

OB on call in house 24/7

CRNA on call in house 24/7 specific to our department.

12-hour shift  - 0630 1830 report time
