Position Summary:

The staff Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who performs patient assessment, develops, implements and evaluates effectiveness of an interdisciplinary plan of care for patient populations with various diagnoses. Maintains professional standards of conduct and ethics as outlined in department expectations and professional organizations. Provides education to patients, families, caregivers and other health professionals. Assists in the supervision of other staff members, students and volunteers, as appropriate. Demonstrates awareness and sensitivity to patients'/caregivers' rights, as identified within the institution.

Qualifications:

• Current California RN license within the last 18 months, required.

Education:

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing within the last 18 months, required.

Licenses:

• Current California RN License, must be obtained by August 9, 2024

Certification:

• All Units
  • Current BLS required upon hire; American Heart Association Healthcare Provider.
• Unit Specific
  • ACLS within 90 days of hire, required; American Heart Association Healthcare Provider.
  • PALS within 180 days of hire, required.
  • NVCI within 90 days of hire or by the end of orientation, whichever comes first, required.
  • ONS chemotherapy & biotherapy provider, required within 1 year of hire or transfer, required.
  • NIH Stroke Scale within 90 days of hire, required.

Each new hire candidate who is offered employment must pass a physical evaluation, urine drug screen and pre-employment background checks before starting work.
