Required certifications BLS, NIHSSCommon diagnoses/Types of patientsCOPD, CHF, Pneumonia, GI, Renal, ETOH withdrawal. ARF, HD patients and Peritoneal dialysis (contracted out to a dialysis service)Experience or 'Must have' skillsMinimum 2 yearsAre RNs required to titrate drips? Pharmacy will calculate heparin and nurse will change rate. Morphine for End of Life. Common titratable &/or set rate drips Charge Nurse/House Supervisor Charge Nurse does not take an assignment, House Supervisor 24/7. Are there nurse aids on this unit/Ratios 1:10-12RT Equipment (vents, Cpap, BiPap, etc) Cpap, NC Is there tele on this unit? Monitor Techs? RNs read strips? Remote tele monitoring, monitor on unit and monitor tech to monitor and notify nurses. Shifts & Scheduling 7-7:30 for both AM and PM shifts. Will take scheduling requests into account but no guarantee.Weekend Requirement 2 weekends per 4 week schedule Holiday RequirementYes, as needed. Is there a call or standby requirement?Standby if scheduled and not needed. Floating Requirements Any similar areas, within their skill set. Scrub Color/Dress Code Royal Blue Unit/Department specific orientation 2 shifts with a preceptor. Additional Notes Please note prior Epic experience.
