About The Position
**Job Title:** Registered Nurse **Job Specialty:** Medical Surgical **Job Duration:** Temporary, 13-week assignment **Shift:** Night, 3x12-Hour (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) **Guaranteed Hours:** N/A **Experience:** Minimum 2 years, strong urology skillset, and IV start required **License:** Must have or be in the process of obtaining a relevant nursing license **Certifications:** BCLS required **Must-Have:** - Flexibility with weekend requirements - Ability to work 50% of the weekends during the contract - Agreement to precepting and/or being assigned students for shadowing - Willingness to float to different levels of care as needed **Job Description:** - Effective 11/30/24, certain restrictions apply to local RN travelers, with exceptions for specific specializations. - Charge coverage may be needed based on operational needs, with provided training and resources. - Call-ins require making up shift per established guidelines. - Nurses are expected to fulfill teaching roles in a facility known for its teaching operations. - Floating requirements include working in a variety of care levels with resources provided. - The unit specializes in urology, plastic surgery, orthopedic oncology, and general hospitalist work. - Staffing ratios on the unit typically range from 1:5-6. - Modules required for the position are completed prior to start and are non-billable. - Required to work 2 out of 3 major holidays during the contract. This position offers a dynamic work environment with opportunities to enhance professional skills and contribute to high-quality patient care.
