About The Position
**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN) **Job Specialty:** Medical-Surgical **Job Duration:** 13 Weeks **Shift:** 19:00-07:00 **Guaranteed Hours:** Not specified **Experience:** Minimum 2 years **License:** RN License **Certifications:** BLS **Must-Have:** - Teamwork - Compassion - Collaboration - Communication skills - Advanced medical-surgical experience (including experience with various respiratory diseases/illnesses, renal disease, gastrointestinal illnesses/diseases, telemetry, central venous catheters, indwelling catheters, and heparin infusions) **Job Description:** - Work in a 30-bed medical-surgical unit with a patient ratio of 1:6. - Collaborate with clinical coordinators, unit secretaries, patient care technicians, and case management. - Utilize equipment such as walkers, IV pumps, compression devices, etc. - Document patient care using the Meditech system. - Meet scheduling requirements, including 4 weekend shifts per 28-day schedule and participation in a holiday rotation. - Comply with floating policies in rotation with other staff. - Strive to meet or exceed patient experience requirements of 72% utilizing communication boards. - Wear the required uniform of navy blue scrubs. - Contribute to a supportive work environment that values new equipment, technology, staff tenure, and experience. - Opportunities to engage in professional development through department guidelines and policies.
