**Job Title:** RN Clinical Nurse **Job Specialty:** Registered / Licensed Nurse - Inpatient **Job Duration:** 13 Weeks **Shift:** Day (6:45 am - 7:15 pm) **Guaranteed Hours:** Not specified **Experience:** Preferred direct patient care experience **License:** Registered Nurse (Single State) or Multi-state Compact **Certifications:** Basic Life Support (BLS) **Must-Have:** Graduation from an accredited/approved school of nursing; strong interpersonal and collaborative skills; basic computer skills; ability to function in a fast-paced environment **Job Description:** - Perform the Nursing Process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation) using evidence-based practice and analytical/critical thinking for individualized patient care. - Provide relationship-based, patient-centered care that reflects cultural diversity and population-specific characteristics. - Collaborate with patients and significant others to keep them informed and make patient goals the focus of the care plan. - Practice according to current clinical standards and professional ethical codes. - Coordinate safe, quality patient care delivery, promote interdisciplinary communication, and maintain respectful, inclusive clinical environments. - Demonstrate fiscal responsibility and support the recruitment and retention of healthcare team members. - Participate in performance improvement, research, and shared governance initiatives. - Complete professional competency assessments and mandatory education; serve as a preceptor or mentor to peers and students. - Promote evidence-based practice and participate in research and performance improvement, adhering to health system policies and accreditation standards. - Collect data, consult resources, and utilize evidence to address practice questions. - Plan patient care proactively across the continuum to ensure optimal outcomes. - Develop protocols and procedures in collaboration with the healthcare team to reduce adverse events and re-admissions. - Support resource efficiency and perform other duties as assigned, complying with system policies and standards.
