RN/LPN Home Care- Haverhill, MA - Northeast Arc

Location: Haverhill

Shifts: Fridays Overnights 8p-8a; Thursdays 4p-10p, Every other Saturday 4p-10p; Every other Sunday 12p-10p. Back-up shifts also needed.

Patient Details:

• Cerebral Palsy

• Seizure Disorder

• Urinary retention (requiring straight catheterizations).

• Tracheostomy (Vented at night and when ill)

• G/J tube for feedings and medications

• Respiratory Treatments (Nebulizers, Cough Assist, ABI vest, PRN suctioning)

• Cortical Blindness

Patient Narrative: Patient is a sweet 19-year-old young man who loves listening to music, interacting with peers/family, and watching TV shows such as Stranger Things and Harry Potter. During weekdays, patient goes to a day program. Wonderful home environment, and organized. A great place to work one-one one with patient as a part of his wonderful team of supportive nurses and family.

About NortheastArc-Clinical Services:

• NortheastArc-Clinical Services is a home care agency out of Danvers that specializes in Continuous Care Nursing for medically complex children and adults. This means it is more than a VNA; we provide block nursing in shifts anywhere from 2-16 hours at a time. We work 1-on-1 with a patient in their home, school, or community setting. We help families navigate the complexities of their loved one’s medical care, ensuring patients stay at home and out of the hospital. Our primary goal is to assist in allowing parents/children/spouses to maintain THAT role instead of being their Loved one’s primary “nurse”.

• We are always looking for more nurses to join our team-RNs, LPNs and new grads are all welcome. Worried about “losing skills” like the homecare myth would have you believe? Our cases run the gamut from general nursing care to extremely complex ICU-level home care. Almost all our patients have some type of feeding challenge and are either G or J-tube feeding dependent. Others might have tracheostomies and require ventilator support; others might have seizure disorders, use ostomy appliances, need wound management, require diabetic maintenance, and so much more. While our primary focus is helping to manage complex medical care at home, our equally important goal is to ensure our patient’s social-emotional health & well-being. We have many families looking for nursing help and get new referrals all the time. There simply aren’t enough nurses to care for them all. Pay rates-for the three differentials: all RNs are paid $44/46/48; all LPNs are paid $36/38/40.
