In keeping with the Dignity Health core values, the Clinical Nurse II (CNII) in L&D is an experienced practitioner who demonstrates in-depth knowledge of antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum nursing, the implementation of patient care in those settings, and the ability to practice independently. The CNII in L&D serves as a resource person, preceptor, and relief charge nurse. Under minimal supervision, the CNII proficiently implements the nursing process for clients with complex diagnoses.

Minimum Requirements: 

• Six (6) month current maternal-child nursing. When staffing can support a transition RN, applicants without the requisite experience may be considered.

• Current California Registered Nurse license.

• Current BLS certification 

• Current NRP certification

• Current ACLS certification
