About The Position
**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN) **Job Specialty:** Intensive Care Unit (ICU) **Job Duration:** 13 weeks **Shift:** 19:00-07:00 **Guaranteed Hours:** Not specified **Experience:** Minimum 2 years of ICU experience **License:** Registered Nurse License **Certifications:** None required **Must-Have:** - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - Basic Life Support (BLS) - ICU experience **Job Description:** - Work on a specialized ICU unit with 12 beds and a staff of 32. - Collaborate with a diverse team, including Day Shift Directors, Managers, Clinical Coordinators, RNs, Externs, and Paramedics. - Night shift primarily includes RNs and Externs. - Maintain patient ratios of 2:1, 3:1, or 1:1 as needed. - Operate equipment such as Tablo, IABP, Impella, Brain Cool, Swan Ganz, BIS, Vigilance, Baxter, Hemosphere, and Pyxis. - Utilize the Meditech Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system for patient documentation. - Perform typical procedures on the unit, including Temporary Venous Pacing (TVP), Transcutaneous Pacing (TCP), post-catheterization care, sheath removal, bedside tracheotomies, and Slow Low-Efficiency Dialysis (SLED). - Demonstrate a team-focused personality for seamless collaboration within the unit. - Undertake floating responsibilities throughout the facility as needed. - Adhere to the dress code of navy blue scrubs. - Work every other weekend; no on-call requirements. This role is an excellent opportunity for dedicated ICU nurses looking to expand their expertise in a dynamic environment. Candidates with cardiac experience and CCRN certification are preferred.
