About The Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical ICU
Location: Fremont, NE
Shift: Night Shift (3x12 hours, 36 hours/week)

Position Details

Start Date: 12/16/2024
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Unit: Medical Surgical ICU
Care Setting: Acute Care
Shift Notes: Every other weekend required

Experience Required:

• 2+ years of strong ICU and Med/Surg experience
• Preferred: Experience with Cerner Charting System

Certifications Required:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale)

Unit Information:

Common Diagnoses/Patient Types:

• CHF, COPD, Pneumonia, Diabetes, DKA, Weakness, Falls

Skills & Responsibilities:

• ICU RNs required to titrate drips
• Must read their own strips with tele tech support

Support Staff:

• Techs: 1 tech for 2 RNs, additional mobility aides or Student Nurse Techs as staffing allows
• Charge Nurse: Typically available, some take assignments based on staffing

Equipment Available:

• Cpap, BiPap, High Flow, Vents
