About the Job:
+ FT | ICU/CCU | Nights
+ The RN provides evaluation of assigned patients and plans, implements and documents nursing care.
+ Provides assistance to nursing peers as requested.
+ The Registered Nurse assists physicians during examinations and procedures.
+ The RN performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse.
+ Promotes patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills.
+ Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the nursing field.
REQUIREMENTS:
+ Prior critical care or intensive care experience is needed
+ Graduate of a nursing program is required
+ Must demonstrate ability to interpret basic EKG strips as evidenced by 80% or greater pass rate on initial exam or successful competency within six (6) weeks of hire date
+ Current Mississippi RN licensure is required
+ BLS is required; ACLS certification is required (or within 90 days of hire into the position)
+ PALS and CPI certification is strongly preferred.
