Overview:
Stella Maris, located in Timonium MD is seeking a Night Shift Nursing Supervisor (RN) to provide leadership to our nursing department for night shifts. The main purpose of this position is to provide direction, coordination and supervision of all Nursing personnel during those periods when Nursing Administration and Administration are not in the building.

Status: Full-time, 80hrs bi-weekly
Shift: Monday through Friday 3pm-11pm

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- In accordance with fiscal standards established for the department by the SVP, coordinates and monitors staffing levels to assure quality resident care.
- Assures adherence by nursing personnel to policies and procedures as well as compliance with federal and state regulations and standards of nursing practice.
- Actively participates in facility and nursing departmant quality assurance processes.
- Performs effective professional employment management per the standards of the nursing department and facility.
- Functions as the clinical resource for the facility during the shift; serves as the representative of administration during the shift; actively works to resolve customer concerns and facilitates service recovery.
- Demonstrates an ability to make quick, accurate decisions during an emergency, reflecting knowledge of infection control, emergency, safety and hazardous material policies and procedures. Provides house-wide surveillance of environmental conditions and follows through with appropriate corrective actions.
- Achieves cooperation and teamwork through effective communications and positive relationships with residents, families and staff.
- Responds to the needs of the Nursing staff for essential supplies and equipment for all units and consults with appropriate department heads to alleviate such needs.

Qualifications:QUALIFICATIONS:
- Maryland RN License; BSN preferred, CPR required
- Thorough understanding of long term care regulations
- Experience coordinating care and knowing residents
- Minimum 2-3 years of prior management experience preferred
