Assists the Practice Manager in having administrative oversight over multiple locations and/or practices under the same medical discipline. Schedules work, tracks productivity and quality outcomes, and addresses issues with staff and patients. Depending upon the circumstances, this may be a working supervisor under a clinical or non-clinical area of the Practice. However, this person is a member of the management team with first line responsibility for hiring, orientation, appraisal, coaching, disciplining, and training staff. Keeps the Practice Manager informed on issues involving operations, work flow, customer satisfaction, and employee relations.
Responsibilities:
- Provide professional clinical leadership, maintain work schedule for nursing department staff, delegate tasks, monitor overtime and adjust schedules accordingly, approve time off requests for nursing staff and adjust schedule as needed, provide orientation and training for new nursing staff members, assist in annual employee evaluations, coordinate nursing staff meetings as needed, delegate nursing tasks, inventory medical supplies and submit supply orders as needed, monitor budgetary constraints, maintain Duly Health and Care policy and procedures, doctor/patient liaison, maintain patient confidentiality, assure OSHA/Safety compliance, meet regularly with office manager.
- Provides supervision over assigned nursing staff for the site.
Qualifications:
- At least 3 years nursing experience and at least 1 year of supervisory experience preferred.
- CPR certified.
