Job Description:
Join our team as a RN Clinical Service Desk Analyst and play a pivotal role in supporting electronic health record (EHR) users across the system. In this remote position, you'll provide invaluable assistance to healthcare providers, nurses, and support staff, empowering them to navigate our EHR systems efficiently and effectively in both acute and ambulatory care settings.
Responsibilities:
Stay Updated: Keep abreast of healthcare IT trends and advancements, incorporating evidence-based research practices to enhance support services. Utilize data analytics to identify opportunities for improvement in user support.
Customer Support: Address, document, and resolve customer inquiries promptly, maintaining a customer-centric approach. Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely resolution of issues.
Training and Advocacy: Assist staff in utilizing technology to uphold patient safety and confidentiality. Advocate for technology solutions that align with patient care standards and outcomes.
Collaboration: Work closely with IT and clinical teams to identify, investigate, and resolve project or application issues. Foster cross-team collaboration to achieve system-wide goals.
Documentation and Communication: Develop and maintain online resources and knowledge databases. Provide training and support for peers. Communicate effectively with internal teams and users to relay updates and address concerns.
Project Support: Assist in various projects and implementations, including post-implementation evaluation and support for workflow changes. Coordinate communication and support efforts during unscheduled downtimes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline; active RN license required.
Three to five years of experience in a complex healthcare environment.
Proficiency in system office applications and basic understanding of integrated clinical systems.
Strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to convey complex information clearly.
Experience in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Proficiency in personal computers and office software applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing; Certification in Nursing Informatics preferred.
Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
