We are seeking a passionate and dedicated RN Clinical Manager for our Surgical Services department. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of our surgical services and requires a dynamic individual who can balance the needs of patients, staff, and the organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the surgical services department, including pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care. They will also ensure that all services are compliant with CPD requirements. This is a full-time, permanent position with competitive salary and benefits.

Responsibilities

Oversee the daily operations of the surgical services department, ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.
Coordinate and manage the scheduling board, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimizing patient wait times.
Lead and supervise a team of nurses and support staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
Ensure compliance with CPD requirements, as well as other relevant regulations and standards.
Collaborate with other department leaders to ensure integration and alignment of services.
Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency and patient outcomes.
Participate in the recruitment, training, and development of staff.
Monitor and manage department budget and resources.
Address any issues or concerns related to patient care, staff performance, or department operations in a timely and effective manner.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and projects.

Qualifications

Registered Nurse with a current license and in good standing.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in surgical services, with a focus on peri-operative patient care.
Previous management or supervisory experience in a healthcare setting is required.
Strong knowledge of CPD compliance and other relevant regulations and standards.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage a busy scheduling board and coordinate multiple tasks.
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement policies and procedures.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, staff, and other healthcare professionals.
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to address issues and concerns in a timely and effective manner.
Commitment to continuous learning and improvement, with the ability to participate in quality improvement initiatives and projects.
