RN Care Coordinator, Tissue and Implant Coordinator, Surgery, Full Time, Flex Shift - Steward Health Care

Position Summary:

Demonstrates expertise and knowledge in orthopedic and neurological cases. Anticipates the needs of the surgeon and patient for each procedure. Demonstrates knowledge, etiology, and description of detailed procedures and correlating instrumentation involved with advanced ortho and neuro procedures. Stays current with new techniques and mentors the staff.

Scrubs in cases to assist the surgeon and to mentor new staff to these procedures. Assures that all equipment is available and in working order. Manages the equipment and inventory and is responsible for organizing the cases on a daily basis. Orders supplies as needed to maintain the necessary inventory for each case. Works with management to coordinate cases and staff .

Position Qualification: (Training, Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities)

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Five to ten years of OR experience with general surgery preferred.
• Holds current BLS and ACLS card

Required Licenses/Certifications:

• Current Florida RN License
• Holds BLS and ACLS
• AORN Certification preferred

Communication Skills:

Effectively communicate in writing and orally with all levels of the organization in English.
