Job DescriptionPosition Purpose | The Ronald McDonald House Charities® (RMHC®) Marketing and Communications team is responsible for the development and execution of the organization’s global marketing and communications strategies. Within that area of responsibility, the team oversees the RMHC brand including compliance, consistency, positioning and communication across the entire RMHC Chapter system in 62 countries and regions. The Marketing & Communications team creates the brand strategy and guidelines while serving as a brand consultant for the individual Chapters. In addition, the team implements Global tactics that support and increase awareness for the brand and the RMHC mission. Global tactics include: planning, development and implementation across paid, owned and earned media; direct response marketing and fundraising efforts - including email and direct mail, digital and social media content and campaign creation; public relations; crisis communication; advertising; content management across the rmhc.org website; and corporate marketing activation. The team also manages the interface between RMHC and the McDonald’s Global/U.S. Marketing and communications relationships to ensure continuity and promote co-brand building.
Principle Accountabilities | RMHC has an immediate opening for a Direct Response Fundraising Manager to lead the Salesforce Marketing Cloud implementation for the Marketing & Communications team, including the strategy to activate cohesive, multi-channel campaigns across email, direct mail and paid media. This subject matter expert will be a key driver of the planning and integration of all direct response efforts and will be responsible for driving alignment across third parties and internal cross-functional groups to deliver flawless execution in these channels.
Responsibilities
- The development and execution of comprehensive omnichannel marketing strategies that build awareness, drive donations and cultivate an understanding of the RMHC mission, vision and purpose.
- Plan, execute, measure, and optimize performance marketing and advertising campaigns, to achieve our annual revenue goal and support strategic priorities and initiatives.
- Oversee relationships with agencies and partners supporting our direct response fundraising efforts by enhancing strategic collaboration, operational effectiveness and efficiency, and resource management.
- Ensure all direct marketing efforts align with RMHC marketing objectives and ensure a strong focus on audience segmentation, targeting, optimization, performance metrics and budget management.
- Oversee Direct Response Supervisor with efforts to engage new and existing donors through Marketing Cloud/email and direct marketing campaigns, paid media/always-on search, and campaign measurement.
- Encourage innovation by taking appropriate risks and coaching team members and partners to test and learn, and where appropriate, adopt and scale new techniques and tactics to deliver growth.
- Collaborate with the RMHC Marketing & Communications team members to deliver an effective and comprehensive omnichannel approach for engaging soliciting, stewarding and acquiring new donors at mass scale.
- Work with the RMHC Development team on tactical approaches across direct response marketing channels to correlate KPIs with bottom line business metrics.
- Ensure integration of direct response fundraising efforts with owned and earned media efforts.
- Work closely with the Creative Content and Brand Team, and Creative AOR, to ensure assets are informed by standard processes and optimized to achieve desired KPIs.
- Identify, track and evaluate existing and emerging marketing and fundraising trends in order to integrate select tactics into the RMHC direct response fundraising mix.
- Analyze online conversation data to guide engagement strategy and share insights with appropriate teams across the organization.

The expected salary range for this role is $98,140 – $125,310 / per year

- 7+ years of non-profit fundraising, direct or performance marketing (email, direct mail, paid media) experience
- Deep knowledge of lead generation channels and tactics as well as established revenue channels including direct response (DR), digital giving, and peer to peer fundraising
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field
- Expertise working within Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Google Analytics 4 (GA4), SEO and Google Tag Manager
- Experience planning, implementing, measuring, and optimizing multichannel marketing campaigns and using data-driven campaign targeting across a diverse and complex audience or audiences
- Analysis and reporting experience including; building stories with numbers, providing confident recommendations based on findings/insights, communicating findings and an ability to perform offline analysis on optimization opportunities
- The ability to thrive in fast-paced environments, while being flexible and deadline driven
