Position Summary
We are seeking candidates who are experienced operations and project management specialists, with expertise in distilling and reporting complex, technical data. You need to be comfortable briefing, guiding teams, collaborating with staff, and operating across time and space to accomplish the mission. You also need to thrive in a complex, technical environment that requires initiative and understanding of implied tasks, and the ability to tactfully handle conflict.
The selected candidate will work at the IMCOM HQ on JBSA-Ft. Sam Houston, TX. The RMF Operations Manager will function as the primary interface with the Government for Risk Management Framework (RMF) program information tracking and reporting requirements.
This is an exciting opportunity for a successful applicant to have access to and regularly work with Government sensitive data and may be asked to represent the Government at meetings and conferences. The RMF Operations Manager will coordinate and plan team travel, track, and report RMF status for eleven CONUS Mission Training Centers (MTCs), and follow up with customers, as required to accomplish Authority to Operate (ATO) completion.
What You’ll Do
- Consolidate, distill, and report status on highly technical tasks to the Government.
- Project Manager responsible for guiding an RMF project to ATO completion.
- Planning for RMF Functional ISSOs to conduct staff assistance visits to eleven MTCs nationwide.
- Facilitate RMF Team AARs.
- Interface with RMF KM and help develop digital collaboration strategy and tools.
- Operations reporting and status reporting, trends, and analysis.
- Input RMF Team activities into Monthly Status Reports.
- Assist the Government with monthly, quarterly, and yearly JBSA and Installation Management Command (IMCOM) reporting requirements.
- Able to maintain confidentiality and protect the sensitivity of proprietary information, nonpublic information received in the confidence of the Federal Government, contractor bid and proposal information, and source selection information IAW statutory or regulatory requirements.
- Minimum travel required
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Military experience in Operations, Staff interaction, reporting, and briefing at the O-6 or higher level.
- Experience working with Microsoft SharePoint or similar web-based collaboration software tool(s).
- Ability to keep a technical team on track to meet tight deadlines.
- Secret clearance.
- Desired Qualifications
- Graduate of US Army Command and General Staff Officer Course, Senior Leader Course, or higher.
- PMP Certified.
- Risk Management Framework experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
