Risk Manager (Hybrid Remote) - Cottage Health

Join Cottage Health as a Risk Manager (Patient Safety and Accreditation). The Risk Manager works in collaboration with the Director of Patient Safety and Accreditation to oversee the Clinical Risk Management and Patient Safety Program. The ideal candidate will be proactive in identifying potential clinical risk or safety issues which could affect patients, caregivers, stakeholders, or medical staff. The Risk Manager will also analyze clinical risk management data for performance improvement initiatives, patient safety initiatives, development of educational programs, supports the organization's compliance with The Joint Commission (TJC) and other regulatory requirements, all with the objective to promote patient safety and protect organizational assets.

This position allows working hybrid remote.

QUALIFICATIONS

LEVEL OF EDUCATION

Minimum: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education and experience using the standard of 2 years of experience equals 1 year of education.

Preferred: An advanced degree in a health care related field.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Preferred: Registered Nurse, Risk management certification, Certification in Patient Safety

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

Minimum: Computer spreadsheet and word processing at an intermediate level

Preferred: Database and analytical experience

YEARS OF RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE

Preferred: 5 years in a management position with at least two years in clinical risk management
