Welcome home! In this newly established role, the Risk Manager will oversee the strategic direction, coordination, and evaluation of the organization’s comprehensive risk management program. This includes identifying, assessing, and measuring risks across key areas such as finance, insurance, technology, compliance, environmental impact, and company reputation. This hybrid position is located in East Taunton, MA.

What we trust you to do:
- Plans, designs, and implements an overall risk management strategy for the organization.
- Develops, reviews, and administers current risk management policies and protocols; Evaluates and makes recommendations to the organization’s risk appetite.
- Develops risk assessments, which involves analyzing risks as well as identifying, describing and estimating the risks affecting the business operations;Finds creative solutions that balance risk reduction with business objectives.
- Evaluates risk, which involves comparing estimated risks with criteria established by the organization such as costs, legal requirements, and environmental factors.
- Introduces contingency plans to reduce and control risks and liabilities. Reviews risk policies regularly to ensure they are compliant with relevant new legislation.
- Responsible for company business insurance portfolio, oversees health and safety measures, and makes business continuity plans to limit unacceptable risk levels.
- Conducts audits of policy and compliance to standards, including liaison with internal and external auditors; Observes and assesses internal operations for compliance with acceptable levels of risk
- Develops systems to monitor risk; Prepares and presents timely risk assessments reports and proposals to senior management.
- Provides support, education, and training to staff to build risk awareness throughout the organization; Leads cross functional teams and influences stakeholders.
- Responsible for implementing crisis management plans (business continuity), communicating with stakeholders and taking decisive actions to mitigate the impact of the crisis.
Ideal candidates have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Math, or related field
- 4-7 years previous experience
- Project management and supervisory experience helpful
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
