About the Job
Under general supervision, the Safety Coordinator serves to assist with planning and organizing all aspects of the City's safety program. The employee will conduct city-wide safety training, perform on-site facility inspections, field inspections, conduct accident investigations, driver training program, complete job hazard analysis reviews and provides corrective plans of action. The Safety Coordinator will review the incident reporting process, advise on safety trends, hazards and controls. The position requires collaboration and oversight of department safety officers and safety coordinators to ensure all established safety protocols are being followed. Employee will ensure compliance with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) reporting procedures for departments that are TCEQ reportable and will ensure compliance of any state and federal established guideline with regards to safety practices.
