Job DescriptionAECOM is seeking a Risk Management Analyst to be based in Fresno, CA.
SUMMARY:
The Risk Management Analyst is responsible for identifying, assessing, and analyzing risks that could impact the program’s operations, projects, or investments. This role supports the development and implementation of risk management strategies and frameworks by gathering and analyzing data, preparing risk reports, and helping mitigate potential threats. The Risk Management Analyst plays a critical role in guaranteeing that the program effectively manages its risk exposure.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in identifying potential risks to projects, operations, and business functions
- Collect and analyze data to assess risk exposure, including operational, regulatory, and strategic risks
- Support the creation and maintenance of risk registers to track identified risks.
- Perform quantitative and qualitative risk analysis to determine the likelihood and potential impact of identified risks
- Prepare regular reports on risk status, including risk assessments, mitigation plans, and recommendations for leadership
- Track and update risk metrics to provide real-time data and insights on current risk levels
- Assist in developing and implementing risk mitigation strategies and plans to reduce risk exposure
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure that appropriate risk control measures are applied and effective
- Utilize risk management software and tools to collect, analyze, and report on risk data
- Develop and maintain risk dashboards and databases to provide clear visibility into risk exposure
- Work closely with all applicable parties to assess and manage risks
- Communicate risk analysis findings and recommendations to all applicable parties in a clear and actionable manner
- Assist in preparing documentation for audits, compliance reviews, and regulatory reporting
- Stay informed about emerging risk management trends, tools, and techniques to support continuous improvement efforts
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- BA/BS + 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in risk management, Business Administration, or a relevant discipline
- 5+ years of experience in risk management, finance, civil construction, or a relevant field
- Comprehension of risk management frameworks, tools, and techniques
- Proficient in risk management software and tools
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess and prioritize risks effectively
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Professional certification in risk management is a plus
- Experience in specific industries such as civil construction, insurance, or other relevant field where risk management is critical
- Knowledge of financial modeling and quantitative risk assessment techniques
