We are looking to hire a Risk/Loss Control (Worker's Comp) Administrator in Pico Rivera, CA. . This is a Direct Hire opportunity to join our HR Team!
Salary: Exempt; $75,000

Reports To: Benefits Manager/ HR
SUMMARY: Under limited supervision, and using independent judgement, is responsible for the day-to-day administration of the Workers' Compensation program including, incident investigation, claims submission and review process, review and recommendation of financial reserves, health clinics, post accident drug screening, and serves as a liaison between USCC Safety Consultant Service and Branch and Manufacturing management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Controls Workers' Compensation costs by managing the medical claims process including, but not limited to the following: interface and coordination between the injured worker, his/her supervisor, the insurance carrier and the treating medical facility to facilitate a speedy recovery and return to work; uses discretion to determine and assign transitional duty when appropriate; documentation; claims reviews; daily cost control activities; orders surveillance when appropriate; initiates investigations of accidents and uses independent judgement to make determination of cause; advises and recommends to the Director of Human Resources regarding cash reserve requirements to cover financial exposure. Communicates all drug screen results as outlined in the Internal Drug Screen Process. Manages Leave of Absence process. Handles requests for Verifications of Employment.
- Manages health clinic and laboratory vendors including negotiating vendor rates and service, oversight of Chain of Custody, Medical Review Office and overall clinic service.
- Maintains corporate OSHA logs and ensures that all locations have the required logs and posting. Generates and provides requested reports and information to governmental agencies.
- Works directly with USCC Safety Consultants to ensure Branch and Manufacturing management stay in compliance. Reports any/all unresolved compliance issues to the Director of Human Resources. Develops safety and procedural training as directed. Provides training to Corporate and Branch personnel on Workers' Compensation related topics such as claims reporting, investigation and transitional duty.
- And other duties/projects assigned to meet Company goals/objectives. Adhere to all company policies, procedures and safety rules as stated in the Employee Handbook and otherwise posted or communicated.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or four to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Computer skills including Word, Excel, and HRIS.
