Position Overview:
Provide analytical and project support to the risk management and compliance functions of the bank, including serving as the coordinator for the bank's vendor risk management program, further developing risk and compliance reporting, assisting with the risk and compliance review of new products and services, and assisting with other risk, compliance, and project management initiatives across the bank.
Primary Responsibilities:
Performs any functions necessary, within scope of authority and expertise, to provide the highest level of service and responsiveness to customers:
- Serves as the coordinator for the bank's vendor risk management program, including tracking vendor contracts and documentation to ensure compliance with the bank's vendor management policy. Assists bank businesses, departments, and staff with meeting the requirements of the vendor management program where necessary.
- Provides analytical and project support to the bank and the Chief Risk Officer. Supports the achievement of risk, compliance, and project management initiatives within the bank. Specific responsibilities include assisting in the development of risk reporting, coordinating risk involvement with projects across the bank, and coordinating risk and control assurance initiatives with various departments within the bank.
- In conjunction with the Chief Risk Officer, assists in the risk assessment of new product and service offerings at the institution. Specific tasks will include assisting with creation of risk assessments, tracking existing risk assessments, and updating risk assessments as products and services change.
- Assist internal staff, including business partners, in the creation, completion or education of Avidia Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) documentation, deliverables, processes, and procedures.
- Identify, promote and assist in process improvements across the bank.
- Coordinates with various bank personnel as necessary to complete job responsibilities, and supports the Chief Risk Officer's efforts to achieve the stated goals of the bank in regard to risk management.
Other Responsibilities:
- Perform related and unrelated duties as may be required.
- Bachelor's degree and three to five years of risk and/or compliance experience in the banking industry.
- Strong communication skills and the ability work collaboratively with all levels of the organization.
- Solid organization skills, including the ability to meet deadlines.
- The capability to work independently in a critical functional area of the bank. Ability to prioritize tasks within defined responsibilities and apply bank and department policies and procedures.
- Risk management or project management certifications a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
