About the Job
Spectrum Land Services is seeking a dedicated, highly-organized and detail-oriented Right of Way Agent to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for acquiring land rights for various projects, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and facilitating negotiations with property owners. The ideal candidate will possess strong research skills and a solid understanding of right-of-way principals. A high-level of proficiency with Microsoft software (particularly Excel) is required. This is a 90% remote work environment.
Duties
- Conduct thorough research on property ownership and land use to support project planning and execution.
- Engage with property owners to negotiate terms for right-of-way agreements, ensuring a clear understanding of their rights and obligations.
- Prepare and review legal documents related to title processing and land acquisition.
- Collaborate with GIS specialists to analyze spatial data relevant to project sites.
- Maintain accurate records of all interactions and agreements made with property owners.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues related to right-of-way processes.
- Stay informed about local regulations and laws affecting right-of-way acquisitions.
- Act as a program representative during meetings, reporting, analysis and client interactions.
Experience
- Proven experience in a role that involves principals of right of way (ROW), research and acquisitions is required.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective negotiations and documentation.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Must posses a high-level of proficiency with Microsoft software (particularly Excel)
