Job Title: RHEL Senior Engineer

Job Location: Annapolis Junction, MD

Clearance: An active security clearance is required.
 

Citizenship: Due to federal requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible. Dual citizenship cannot be considered.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Administer and maintain the RHEL-based server infrastructure, including installation, configuration, and patch management.
• Work on RHEL 7.x/8.x, performing system administration tasks such as installation, configuration, and maintenance.
• Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies to ensure reliability and performance.
• Perform system backups and recovery processes to ensure high availability and data protection.
• Evaluate and recommend hardware and software solutions to meet business requirements and improve the RHEL server environment.
• Create and maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior administrators to support their development.
• Perform vulnerability scans using tools like Tenable, HP WebInspect, and others.
• Investigate security breaches, risks, and attacks; develop mitigation plans, and implement both proactive and reactive solutions.

Requirements:

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Active security clearance is required.
• Availability for shift work on a 24x7x365 schedule to manage mission-critical systems.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in a RHEL Senior Engineer role or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience with RHEL 6.x/7.x.
