POSITION PURPOSE:
Develop and deliver high quality requests for proposals and information (RFPs/RFIs) and due diligence questionnaires (DDQs) across CIM's real estate, infrastructure and credit strategies. Strong communication skills will serve you well both externally and internally, as you collaborate with CIM teams such as Portfolio Oversight, Partner & Co-Investor Relations, Compliance, Legal, Finance and others to ensure accuracy and consistency in the materials you produce. Database management and optimization is another key function of this role.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Complete or contribute to completion of RFPs/RFIs/DDQs/Surveys/Consultant database updates, private placement memorandum (PPM) updates and ad-hoc diligence requests from investment consultants and existing and prospective investors covering CIM's various strategies. Responses include both qualitative and quantitative information. Strive to ensure that all deliverables are complete, consistent, accurate and compliant with a high standard of quality and service aligned to the best opportunity to bring in new business.
- Work alongside internal subject matter experts throughout the firm including Portfolio Oversight, Compliance, ESG, Legal, Finance, Operations, HR, Strategic Marketing, Consultant Relations and the Sales team members to ensure relevance and accuracy of information.
- Follow RFP process guidelines and effectively create and manage all production timelines, while meeting internal and external expectations and deadlines. Provide peer review of materials, as needed.
- Assist in maintaining, updating, and developing content by collaborating with other departments to improve the efficiency and enhance the organization's use of Qvidian (content management database).
- Collaborate with Strategic Marketing on creating corporate-level content for internal and external use.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree.
- 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably including RFP writing for institutional investment management firms.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Must be client-focused and willing to go the extra mile. Self-starter with ability to operate independently.
- Strong writing, time management and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- Understanding of key quantitative metrics related to the real asset investment management industry and a general working knowledge of commercial real estate is preferred.
- Ability to successfully navigate simultaneous multi-level projects and tasks in a team environment. Proven experience managing multiple tasks in a deadline driven environment preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills, ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, with an emphasis on Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of Qvidian / content management database preferred but not required.

- Quality and consistency of content creation and the ability to deliver projects within the deadline
- Contribution to existing and prospective investor relationships
- Improvements in the efficiency of RFP/DDQ processes and use of technology
- Corporate citizenship amongst the Portfolio Oversight department and all others

Actual base salary considers several factors including but not limited to geography, job-related knowledge, experience, and budget. The start of the salary range is typically associated with the minimum experience required. At CIM, base pay is one part of the total compensation package. This role is eligible for bonus pay in addition to base salary. The anticipated base salary range for the position in Los Angeles is $120,000 - $160,000.
