The Apertures and RF Department is seeking an engineering technician to join their team in Texas. The individual will support RF based production test sets and troubleshooting of complex modules and subassemblies along with supporting test engineers in new design and build of custom test solutions.
This position is an onsite role.
What You Will Do
- Troubleshoot presently deployed test sets and associated equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- Perform preventative maintenance and calibrations..
- Document procedures, processes and reporting of test sets status to be utilized in the investigation of upgrades, obsolescence and improvements to test.
- Work from schematics, test requirements including written and oral instructions.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 8 years’ experience to include any combination of the following:
- Experience with RF/MW test equipment such as signal sources, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, vector network analyzers and other general use test equipment.
- Experience with microwave network measurement process (specifically S-Parameters) and application theory.
- Experience with electrical design support and troubleshooting of systems and board level designs.
- Experience with test hardware assembly, integration, calibration and component level troubleshooting experience.
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

- System integration and verification experience.
- Computer Vision | Automation Experience
- Can work independently with minimum supervision.
- Track work flow and move product through software manufacturing flow processes
- Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills and able to work in a team environment.
- Ability to interface with persons of multiple disciplines and job functions.

The salary range for this role is 48,000 USD - 116,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
