The RF Systems Engineer will participate in and demonstrate excellent capabilities in engineering subjects such as RF, radar, digital design, and analog design. This is an individual contributor role in which the engineer is part of a cohesive team of engineers responsible for communications products for global customers.
Responsibilities
+ Work with the engineering team to understand nuances of design, testing, and systems.
+ Devise the initial concept of the assigned device, component, or system, and participate in the overall detailed product design.
+ Assume minor project responsibility and carry it through various stages of development per established schedule.
+ Ensure that all documentation is accomplished and in proper form.
+ Assist engineering management in developing proposals for new technical programs that will lead to new or improved products.
+ Maintain a high level of technical competence and state-of-the-art awareness.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, or an equivalent combination of relevant technical education and experience.
+ Experience with RF instruments such as Network Analyzers, Power Meters, Signal Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, and Oscilloscopes.
+ Knowledge of radar and high-power RF design.
+ Proficiency in both digital design and analog design.
+ Active Secret Clearance.
+ Proficiency in circuit simulation tools such as Spice.
+ Hands-on experience in RF tuning and using RF instruments.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Prior military experience is advantageous.
+ Experience working in a lab or field with hands-on equipment use.
+ Experience in writing requirements, purchasing equipment, and performing installations with customers.
+ Experience in schematic design.
Work Environment
You will work with cutting-edge technology and be part of a team where you can be hands-on with equipment. A strong foundation in RF fundamentals such as impedance matching, distributed systems, passive RLC and resonant circuits, noise, linearity, bandwidth, and stability is essential. You must be able to create schematics and wire lists, have excellent circuit simulation skills, and possess problem-solving and lab debugging skills. US citizenship is required due to government contracts.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $65.00
