Immediate opening for a Rework Soldering Technician in Brea, CA who possesses:
- Certified J Standard 7711 for solder assembly rework and/or J Standard 7721 board repair
- Certified IPC 610
- Experienced in rework while using microscope
- Experience repairing PCB boards

FULL DESCRIPTION:
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Read and interpret assembly instructions, blueprints, and schematics to understand the soldering requirements for each project.
- Assemble and solder electronic components onto circuit boards or other electrical equipment according to specifications and quality standards.
- Solders wire leads and joints on underside of board, using soldering iron, to route and connect lead wires to board and between individual component
- Maintain and update documentation related to soldering processes, including quality control records, inspection reports, and material usage logs.
- Applies sealer or masking compound to selected parts of board to protect parts from effects of wave solder process.
- Operate and maintain soldering equipment, including soldering irons, hot air guns, solder pots, and soldering stations, ensuring they are in proper working condition.
- Assist with simple rework, hand soldering and minor troubleshooting.
The selected candidate will also possess:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification in soldering or vocational training in electronics or a related field is preferred for Hand Soldering; Certification is required for the Rework Technician.
- Proven experience as a Solderer or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in soldering techniques, including through-hole soldering, surface mount technology (SMT) soldering, and rework/reflow soldering.
- Ability to read and interpret assembly instructions, blueprints, and schematics. Ability to utilize hand held tools such as tweezers, soldering iron, hotplate, etc.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity to handle small electronic components and perform intricate soldering tasks.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and provide feedback on soldering processes.
Salary Range: $21-$25/hr
