Responsibilities:
- Accurately report and document any problems, issues, downtime and corrective measures in the Event Log.
- Responsible for ensuring finished good product is within customer specifications. Ensure and verify all outgoing products are labeled and packaged according to customer specifications.
- Perform quality checks accurately and ensure that all data is recorded properly. Can make quality decisions on materials for shipment or rejection.
- Maintain daily production paperwork for compliance and records.
- Use equipment such as; Computers, Printers, Camera Systems, & In Line Monitors.
- Responsible for housekeeping on the line and adjacent areas. Follows GMP & 5S guidelines.
- Adheres to all safety policies and procedures, conducts his/herself in a safety conscious manner. Ensures proper use of all facility equipment.
- Works with maintenance and operating technicians to complete minor and preventative maintenance on the machines.
- Maintains communication with Lead operator and Production Manager of any problems or issues experienced on the machine or with materials.
- Maintains daily production rate at acceptable levels as determined by Production Manager. Keeps machine downtime to a minimum to maximize output rates.
- Supports Plant and Company goals. Participates in Continuous Improvement activities and Lean Manufacturing processes.
- Perform all quality checks accurately and ensure that all data is recorded properly on checklists. Can make quality decisions on materials for shipment or rejection.
- Ensure that oncoming shift has all materials needed to get started at the beginning of the shift.
- Ensure that all FIFO requirements are followed.
- Ensure Lean Initiatives are achieved.
- Be able to read a ruler for both metric and standards.
- Be able to distinguish between colors.
Qualifications:
- HS diploma or GED required.
- Strong mathematical & mechanical aptitude
- Must be able to work 12-hr shift schedule (including NIGHTS & weekends) 5–5
- Positive attitude & good work ethic
- Must be able to work in team environment
- Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
- Quality focused.
- Excellent Safety record and mindset.
- Requires prolonged sitting and frequent bending (20%), standing and walking (65%), occasional lifting and carrying of up to 50lbs, pulling and pushing.
