Our organization is a private independent exploration, production, and development company focused on developing unconventional reserves in South Texas. Due to recent growth, we are looking for a Production Accountant to join our growing team!
Title: Revenue Supervisor
Location: Katy, TX (WILL OFFER RELOCATION ASSISTANCE)
Salary: $110,000 - $140,000 + Bonus!
Requirements: Utilities Industry Experience/ Production Accounting / Quorum Software

1. Supervising and coordinating the activities of the revenue team to ensure accurate and timely recognition of all revenue streams.
2. Performing monthly and quarterly close processes, including balance sheet reconciliation and variance reporting.
3. Lead the year-end close process, ensuring all revenue-related activities are accurately accounted for and reported.
4. Working closely with the internal audit team and external auditors to ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards.
5. Developing and implementing strategies to improve revenue recognition processes and systems.
6. Providing guidance and training to team members on revenue recognition principles and practices.
7. Conducting detailed financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and potential areas of improvement.
8. Collaborating with other departments to ensure accurate and timely revenue reporting.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a revenue-focused role within the oil and gas industry.
2. Proficiency in Quorum or equivalent software.
3. Demonstrated experience in balance sheet reconciliation, year-end close, monthly close, and variance reporting.
4. Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of supervising and motivating a team.
5. Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
6. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
7. A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
8. A strong understanding of GAAP and other financial regulations and standards relevant to the oil and gas industry.
