About the Job
The Senior Project Manager oversees all operations of insurance/patient collection functions, including:
- Supervision and overall responsibility for departmental accounts receivable functions in the collection of monies.
- Leverages RCM vendor relationships to ensure claims are handled timely and with high quality.
- Proficient with data analysis and Excel functionality. Can construct and manage data and formulas for trending and communicating of exceptional management.
- Perform super user responsibilities in RCM for the platform including file maintenance or table space changes or analysis.
- Develop and research reports from various data sources for management including Daily Aging Report over 180 days.
- Monitor claims processing against production standards; evaluate workflow and reporting systems to ensure claims are handled on a timely and accurate basis by running monthly A/R reports.
- Develop feedback to emails and tasks daily.
- Liaison between patient and physician offices in resolving patient account problems and follow-up on results.
- Provide leadership and motivation by establishing clear expectations, and communicating specific performance feedback with vendor relationship(s).
- Timely and accurate completion of special projects as assigned by the Director of RCM and oversees any special requests made by staff to ensure its completion.
- Oversees development, prioritization and implementation of the development, documentation, and maintenance of system applications, along with updates and changes on assigned payers.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or general equivalency
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures,
- ICD-10 and CPT coding
- HCPS codes, insurance processes and computer literacy with excellent Excel skills;
- Degree or 3 years of previous supervisory experience in a physician's office and/or medical billing office
- Ability and willingness to work flexible hours to meet staffing needs.
