About the Job
The Revenue Analyst, working with the Area Director of Revenue Management and General Manager assists with performance and revenue metrics at the micro-market level to help determine optimal price points and inventory allocations to maximize revenue growth and total occupancy. The Revenue Analyst position provides the opportunity to monitor and evaluate market trends in order to understand the value of hotel products from consumers’ perceptions and accurately align pricing programs, placement and availability within each market segment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Audit all arrivals, set up routing and verifying segmentation.
- Bill check for all due outs and stay overs (review package postings)
- Charge no shows and cancellations
- Reconcile daily OTA no shows and cancellations via extranet
- Monthly reconciliation on OTAs to ensure proper commission is paid out.
- Monthly reconciliation of Sojern and Day Use reservations.
- Audit open folios, process virtual credit cards to ensure funding.
- Audit all reservations made the prior day to ensure rate code and market segments align.
- Enter airline manifests and reservations when provided by airlines
- Daily airline voucher check and manage changes for reservations
- Load distressed rates into StormX
- Audit daily sign in sheets for airlines.
- Post early and late check out fees for airlines when 90% occupancy is met.
- Package forecast audit (check for add ons and breakfast package)
- Check Nor1 for pending upgrades
- Check all in house groups
- Audit cut off dates for upcoming groups and attend weekly group pickup meetings
- Create PM accounts, take deposits and enter group rooming lists.
- Manage inventory on extranets (Hotwire, Hotel Tonight, Day use rooms)
- Send stop sell calendars to FITs
- Check FIT extranet sites daily for new reservations
- Run a duplicate reservations report
- Distribute 7 day forecast
- Load or extend rate codes when applicable
Experience, Skills and Knowledge
Hotel experience is required
Ability to use mathematical skills to interpret financial information.
Ability to maintain consistency, diplomacy and tact in challenging situations.
Work in collaboration with various departments and associates.
Ability to format and write business letters, reports, and summaries using proper grammar, spelling, diction, and style.
Proficient at statistical and competitive analysis.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
