The Revenue Accounting Supervisor will ensure the accurate and timely recording and payment of monthly revenue and related processes while supervising the work of the Revenue Accountants.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Supervise work of Revenue Accountants including review of work and approval within BOLO
- Implement revenue processes, as instructed by the Revenue Manager, which accurately distribute revenue in and correspond with the nuances of each asset area
- Analyze data for accuracy, problem-solve, and implement process improvements including standardizing processes where possible
- Perform analysis on monthly revenue accrual vs. actual to seek process improvements and accrual accuracy
- As necessary, process revenue monthly, including Non-Op
- Prepare and record revenue accruals for assigned properties monthly
- Oversee midstream accounting process including review and approval of invoices and contracts
- Record monthly pipeline imbalances, prepare related entries, and reconcile imbalances back to third-party statements
- Review monthly production tax calculations before submission to the Revenue Manager
- As needed, respond to royalty owners’ inquiries promptly to assist revenue accountants
- Coordinate with the marketing department over pricing and volume allocation issues
- Complete special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Specialized Knowledge:
- Advanced Proficiency in MS Office, specifically Excel
- BOLO software expertise is highly desirable
- Ability to communicate well internally and externally with regulatory personnel
- Demonstrate initiative and ownership of responsibilities
- The ability to manage time and meet deadlines is critical
- An associate degree in accounting is required. A bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or a comparable field is preferred
- 3 Years of Revenue Accounting experience in the upstream Oil and Gas Industry. Lead or Supervisory experience preferred
- Normal office environment.
