Overview
As our IT Procurement Manager you will oversee the ordering and fulfillment of software, hardware, and supplies, drive pricing and process optimization, and manage vendor and contact tracking and reporting using the Origami Vendor Management application. This role is responsible for tracking and improving Origami's spending across various vendors, contracts, and services.
Responsibilities
- Leads all aspects of purchasing IT related goods and services, including coordinating the selection and approval process, and interfacing with the invoicing and payment process for the IT environment.
- Processes purchases of hardware, software, and office supplies as needed for a mid-sized, geographically dispersed organization following standard procurement processes.
- Works effectively and extensively with Vendors to obtain competitive quotes to support product sourcing, forecasting, order placement, and order management, partnering with Business Owners and Technical Owners as needed.
- Coordinates and facilitates IT Vendor meetings and presentations to support purchases, renewals, risk assessments and vendor ratings.
- Maintains up-to-date vendor, contract and purchasing data to support tracking of Vendor performance and costs to improve spending and support organization's needs and drive renewals, extensions, purchases, and general optimization needs.
- Provides reporting on contracts status, pipeline, and spending as required to leaders and stakeholders.
- Uses internal ticketing system (ServiceNow) and Origami Vendor Management to fulfill and track software and hardware requests and licensing, coordinating with Legal, Finance and other business partners as needed.
- Consults on sourcing solutions, negotiates agreements, and manages relationships to optimize return and mitigate risk.
- Approves supplier contract negotiations to attain the most advantageous pricing, terms, discounts, allowances, quality, delivery, and service.
- Contributes to the formation of budgets and effective cost management across the organization and supports cost management programs and initiatives.
- Directly manages complex negotiations with key suppliers that require a detailed strategic plan and that have a direct correlation with operational needs and/or goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in a business or technical field, or equivalent work experience required.
- Technical proficiency with enterprise applications, integrations, and general office software.
- AWS training and certification preferred (AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner)
- 2+ years’ experience in procurement or an equivalent role, working with outside vendors, preferably software licensing related.
- Experience optimizing Cloud costs (specifically AWS) through pricing models, regional instances, utilization models, etc.
- Experience with procurement policies, systems and processes preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills, including ability to work and communicate effectively with internal departments and all levels of management to affect positive working relationships.
