Job Details
Essential functions:
- Record monthly oil & gas revenue & prepare monthly accrual for assigned purchasers
- Prepare and maintain well level allocations for assigned purchasers
- Prepare severance taxes for assigned purchasers and reconcile taxes payable for assigned purchasers
- Assist in the monthly revenue distribution process
- Reconcile purchaser receivables for assigned purchasers
- Prepare assigned account reconciliations
- Help prepare and file necessary reports to government entities
- Provide response/resolution in a timely and thorough manner to all internal and external inquiries
- Comply with internal SOX controls ensuring appropriate documentation for the control requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes:
- Decision Making
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Understanding of Oil and Gas Accounting principals
- Ability to work in a team oriented environment
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3-5 years of Accounting experience
- 1-3 years of prior experience in Oil & Gas accounting
