About the Job
Provide benefits and retirement counseling and assistance with required paperwork provided to individual employees.
Prepare service computation and retirement calculations timely and accurately.
Provide VERA/VSIP and other workforce restructuring (RIF, Directed Reassignment) counseling and implementation support.
Counsel and process personnel actions for Death Cases.
Counsel and process personnel actions for Disability Retirement Cases.
Counsel and complete/prepare paperwork for FERCCA cases.
Counseling information accurately and timely.
Maintaining working relationships with internal and external organizations.
Minimum of four (4) years federal experience, at least three (3) performing the full range of health benefits and employee retirement administration, providing guidance and consultation to employees, former employees, annuitants, survivors, and eligible family members regarding retirement, insurance, and health benefits.
Position requires proven administrative skills and experience with HR automated systems.
Experience with NFC is preferred.
HS/GED a college degree is preferred.
A college degree may substitute for 1 year of non-specialized experience.
