Glaucoma Specialist
Beth Israel Lahey Heath

Lahey Hospital and Medical Center (a founding member of Beth Israel Lahey Health system) is offering a position for a Glaucoma Specialist to join our Division of Ophthalmology. We are a physician-led, multi-disciplinary group practice of more than 600 doctors.
Lahey Hospital & Medical Center (LHMC) is an Independent Academic Medical Center, offering tertiary and quaternary level care. Our academic affiliation is UMass Chan School of Medicine, where most faculty hold appointments, with adjunct positions at Tufts University School of Medicine. The newly formed medical school is a regional campus of UMass.
The successful applicant will join a dynamic ophthalmology service with 16 comprehensive and subspecialty ophthalmologists and 8 optometrists. As a teaching hospital, our MDs qualify for academic appointments at UMass Chan School of Medicine and adjunct academic appointments at Tufts University School of Medicine, where our physicians are a part of the Tufts Ophthalmology Residency program. Our glaucoma division comprises of four glaucoma specialists on staff, an AUPO approved glaucoma fellowship and an international fellowship program. Our glaucoma specialists are not only involved in teaching medical students, residents and fellows, but also committed to global work in El Salvador, Turkey. Egypt, and in the past, Tanzania.
All 3 ophthalmology clinic sites and operating rooms at the Peabody campus have state of the art equipment and imaging technologies.
The successful candidate will be expected to take part in resident teaching and collaborate with colleagues on clinical, academic, and administrative projects. Research interests are welcomed and supported, though not a requirement for this position.
