About the Job
The Retail Sales Representative is responsible for maximizing the sale of all Kuhn, Kuhn Krause, and Kuhn Knight products and services at the assigned retail store territory. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Make retail sales calls to current and prospective customers, to include dairy, feedlot, crop producers and local government.Demonstrate products and explain their features and benefits.Monitor local market trends and identify potential markets. Forward information to Retail Store Manager.Collect outstanding and past-due accounts receivables.Investigate and respond to customer inquiries (including show & publication leads) for product orders and quotes. Deliver and set-up new products for customers and train customers in standard product operations.Coordinate product delivery information with customers and assist with freight logistics, as required. Verify sales orders and enter orders into computer.Coordinate, set-up, and represent the Company at local trade, fair, and farm shows.Submit call, inventory, and expense reports and other required documentation in a timely manner.Recommend new product development ideas. Communicate with sales, marketing, product, engineering and manufacturing to test and evaluate potential products.Participate in the Company’s team process to develop and improve product sales and marketing functions. Continually strive to find better ways to complete tasks and be the best in the industry.Advise on store product stock and re-stock needs.Develop annual sales forecasts of products to be sold.Maintain work area in a clean and orderly fashion and conform to all quality and safety procedures.Education and/or Experience - The individual must have a high school diploma or GED. An agricultural background and advanced education and/or experience in marketing, sales, or business is preferred. An agricultural and mechanical background is preferred.
