About the Job
Celebrating over 40 years in business, Saf-Gard Safety Shoe Company develops and implements safety footwear programs for large industrial, government, and service organizations. We are currently seeking a Retail Store Specialist to work in our stock room with shipping and receiving as well as assisting customers with their safety shoe needs! This part-time position offers you an opportunity to gain retail experience! Please note - we do not have our stores open at night!
To be successful in the position as Retail Store Specialist, qualified applicants should demonstrate an ability to:
- Wow customers with exceptionally friendly, knowledgeable customer service when assisting customers with the selection of their choice of safety shoes
- Learn various product lines and provide the benefits associated with each line to prospective customers.
- Ensure the store is clean, the showroom display fully stocked, and marketing material is up to date with displays.
- Merchandise incoming products.
- Process sales, and look up customer sales information including sales history, sales rules, etc.
- Receiving inventory
- Pulling inventory for order fulfillment and processing shipments
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- At least 6 months' experience in retail sales
- Experience with shipping and receiving
- Must possess excellent customer service skills
- Ability to learn and utilize company operating system (Navision).
- Demonstrated experience handling credit and cash transactions
- Desire to grow sales and do outreach in community
